I say raptor.
It ate what it wanted and left the rest of the body behind. A fox or coyote would have grabbed the carcus and taken it with them.
A hawk or owl would not have been able to lift off with a full grown barred rock.
It did not get the other two as they hid until the threat was gone.
Losses to hawks go up us for alot of us during the spring and fall migration period.
