Hi all I unwittingly purchased 2 jungle fowl (thought they were average chickens) & 1 hen to my flock of 8 hens 1 old rooster 1 juvenile rooster as the juvenile 8months is giving my older hens a hard time. When I returned home today the new hen had been pecked to death and eaten in parts.. The jungle fowl are living in a tree mostly ,my other hens are becoming scared of the juvenile rooster.. They were all hiding when I got home .. I pick the juvenile rooster up and pat it but things aren't looking good I can't determine the killer?? What to do??

:frow welcome to BYC !!

Sorry to hear that. She may have died of another cause. The birds will peck a dead chicken.

She was very alive when I left all her neck feathers were gone all her side feathers and meat was stripped off her bones I'm convinced she was pecked to death ..??

I believe she was attacked. Not all chickens are cute fuzzy butts - any of them can turn to cannibalism . Did any of your birds have blood on them - they would be ones that contributed to the slaughter. What a gruesome experience. Maybe you can rehome the new ones, Then get some gentle breeds and integrate them gradually into the flock.
