Dead rooster

One of my roosters had a seizure and died in under a minute. He was a Rudd Ranger ( meat bird ) Would he be ok for my dogs and I to consume?

I wouldn't, but I don't eat meat or process my own birds to begin with. Here's an older thread but still has some pretty good answers on it.

I never eat birds (even meat birds) when I am not the cause of their demise. I also don’t feed them to my dogs. You don’t know what he had. It could have been a parasite or something. The chances of contamination are too high to risk it in my opinion - especially when you knew better enough to ask if it was ok. If your dog got sick you would feel awful.

I'm thinking it was heat stroke. I live in SC and it has been over 100 heat index for the month.
