LOL! I have a couple silkies that do that! My heart skipped a beat when I first saw it cause I thought for sure they were dead..actually lay on their sides with their feet to the side!!!! LOL!!!

.

It was rather scary at first. Everyone looked at me and said "Is your bird ok?" And of course I freaked, but as I got to the cage he stood up as if to say "Whaddaya want, I'm sleepin here!!!"

I dare some Silkie breeder to call themselves "Swiffer Silkies"! (That's brilliant)

They look great, but that cage looks horrendous! I need to go clean it out, I just haven't because I am about to load them up and head over to the State Fair tonight...

Mine do this on occasion. It's weird when they do, kind of like a cat splayed out asleep like a dog on their belly...it's not what you would expect!

I seriously need to order some buff eggs from you come spring. Yours are gorgeous!

lol LOL! Sometimes I wonder with all that fluff if they're just cooling off that way and catching some Z's while in the process...it's comical to see them do it. The funny thing is one will start it and then several just follow his lead and plop down. They're funny little chickens to say the least!

They're gorgeous by the way!

Ms Jayne,

Have you seen the dyed pink Show girl on here somewhere? I am looking for it right now, it is adorable. I can't seem to re-locate it though. Was in a cage at a chicken show of some kind.
