I've read about the destruction weasels can do to chickens, but didn't think they were even around us.
The last day or so I've been smelling something dead around our meat chicken/rooster area. I've looked and not seen anything. Today it was unmistakable so I started looking for dead baby birds or anything that could making that smell. Then I was walking inside the fence and happened to spot a small, furry, dead thing inside the corner of the fence. It was a weasel!!!!
Do you think it was electrocuted trying to the climb the fence? With the rain and heat we've had I didn't inspect it too closely. I'm so thankful it didn't get any farther because their shelter would've protected them from just about anything BUT a weasel!
