I'm not sure where I should be posting this so if another member can move it to the rightful place it will be much appreciated and welcomed.
I've seen posts on chickens being blind. I think my BO rooster, Roo, is deaf. He's right around 19 weeks ( I think). I heard him attempt to crow a couple of weeks ago but haven't heard any noise from him lately.
I know he knows his name because he used to come to me or looked at me when I called him.
How can I really tell if he is deaf and is that going to be an issue when he gets older? If he's not deaf, what's going on? Is there some kind of test I can do to really know for sure?
Any advice, suggestions will be greatly appreciated and welcomed.

Usually you clap behind their heads to see if they react. He's probably maturing and doesn't want to listen to you anymore.

That could be it seeing how when I locked the chickens in for the night ( except for 1 who I just realized didn't go in- I hear her outside right now) I picked Roo off of the roost and he protested a lot.
No matter how long I wait to lock them, it seems like the one that is out gets left out night after night. Well, if she gets attacked it will be her own fault. She should have known to go in when the others went in.
I hate animals when they are being stupid and stubborn!!! I guess in a way they're just like children.
