Dealing with Parasitic Worms, Kids and Gardens

You just need to not eat the eggs for the recommended amount of time listed on the bottle, usually 2-4 weeks. This is why I treat mine in the off season when you are hardly getting any eggs. Again, I wouldn't worry too much about your garden, just thoroughly wash your food.

I agree - call your local extension office and ask whats best.

Even if you keep the chickens in their pen/coop - there is still dirt in there. Nasties are everywhere - its just that you're just now "discovering" it, so to speak. Do you know how many bugs we live with daily on our own bodies that we ingest? I honestly think you're worried over nothing

. Its no more worse than if you allowed your puppy to lick you or your kids, honestly. Just wash everything you eat from your garden before you eat it. Earthworms are carriers of roundworms but they are beneficial to our gardens...

So see - its really not as big a panic as it seems.

Lots of hugs to you... and try not to worry, I know its gross, but honestly, its just Mother Nature. Worm your puppy and just keep your chickens clean and disease free as best you can.

You'll do fine
