Okay, We seem to have gotten off the topic of this thread. Which is to help with relationship advice. I think we have taken too much time on helping NFC.....She needs to figure some of this stuff out herself or she will never learn how to handle this the next time some one complains about something of hers..

Let's move on to another problem. Maybe one in my area of expertise. (which, of course, is almost anything).

For these longer answers the "inadequate person" ( that is a technical term all us counselors use for the person needing our help, it portrays no negative connotations.)
will have to hire me at my normally exorbitant rate.


So anyone have a problem with something like doing dishes or vacuuming?

Dear Ralphie,

My husband often starts to watch a recorded car show then falls asleep with the remote tightly gripped in his hand.
How can I safely retrieve the remote to stop the show where he dozed off?

All attempts so far to gently touch the remote have resulted in his waking and giving me "stink eye".
