Witnesses to fishing trips is a bad idea. Unless the witness is your Doctor, lawyer, or spouse the witness can testify against you....

Having witnesses around has probably helped keep a lot of people safe.

A lot of people have had long prison sentences from having witnesses around too, so it is a double edged sword........ Which is why I always prefer to not put the bait in a bag of any kind as there is too much chance of DNA rubbing off. Also make sure you burn the canoe paddle that helps the bait get into the water.
