I am so sorry to hear about this and I know how you feel. My Lucy was chased off by cats and probably eaten by them and now I have her here on my avatar. I am just sick about losing her.

*hugs you tight* i know just how you feel willow, it has been a devastating month here also. Last week i walked into one of my pens covered with dead teenage chickens. I lost over 30 that day and then the other day 3 more in a enclosed large brooder.

I am so so sorry for ALL of you that have suffered losses. I am sitting here with tears streaming down my cheeks.

I am afraid to let mine outdoors. It has been such a cold spring here in MN. Thusfar, mine are still in our attached garage in a Gianormous Brooder of sorts. My husband has built their coop, but hasn't finished the run. The coop is a fortress. Made with recovered Anderson windows, but I am still afraid to put them out.

We can hear coyotes in the distance howling at night, and I know there are skunks, opossums, mink, weasels, and racoon....not to mention the flying predators. I am such a freaker, but I don't want to loose my babies.

Well, once again....I am feeling your anguish....((((((HUGS)))))) I am so sorry....
