Does this look like a death ring? I think it does but my friend says it is veins.

I'd say you're right but that's us looking at one picture of an egg, so what I'd do is put an X on that one, put it back in the incubator, and check it in 1 week. If it's dead, it'll look similar to what you're looking at now. If not, you'll see a lot of veins.

You never mentioned how long it's been incubating. That's important to make a determination.

Death ring banding usually occurs closer to the middle of the eggs.
