This is so strange.
I have 22 eggs that are due the 12th. I just candled, set 5 aside to be trashed, and put 17 eggs in the other
Brinsea ready for hatching. Three were clear (I must not have candled these before, doh!) and the other two appear to have died along the way.
Wait!
I recandled one I was going to toss and it was moving a ton! It has large air cells on both ends so I thought it had died. I have two like that so put them both in the incubator. I never saw the 2nd one move at all, but put it in there anyway.
Once again, I have one with the air cell on its side too, so marked that one well and will break that one out after all the others hatch if it doesn't hatch itself.
So, now it's 19 eggs in lockdown, 3 with strange air cell issues. I have no idea why suddenly I'm getting these weird air cells the last two hatches.
16 - perfectly normal
2 - have air cells on both ends
1 - air cell is on the side
I question the ones with air cells on both ends as how are those chicks going to have enough oxygen? I can't really find much about it.
Edit: I just found one thread sort of related, it was about ducks. The person put the duck down though as it had some neck issue due to being between two air sacs. Someone else on another thread said in the last four days their split air sacs merged. Well, there are four days to go on these so maybe they'll be okay!
