Beautiful birds! I want to thank you for the advice you gave me on treating my Silkie with wry neck. 400 units of Vitamin E daily and she's all better!
Thank you, and you are so welcome! So happy she's better now, and it's because of your great care!

This morning after a huge storm was supposedly bringing 6-12" of snow. We got 3-4".

These nine out in their growout pen chose to leave their warm shed and pile up together in the corner. Hubby was over by the coops so I made them a path to come out.

They were out, but I got in trouble. He wants to plow, so put them all back in again so he doesn't have to watch for chickens. :old Smart move!

They're a bit confused I suppose, but soon they can come out further.

What color is this Silkie mix? He also had some very light barring on his feathers.
Since it's a mix I can't be sure, but if it were a silkie, that'd be a cuckoo as that's the only barring a pure silkie can have.

This is a pure silkie, lemon, but has cuckoo silkie in him. The one way in the back is a cuckoo.

Thanks so much for answering! He was our daughter's roo that we lost with our first flock :( He was super sweet and did well with our other rooster, and hens! We miss our silkies!!

5" of snow fell, and winds to 35 mph, making it hard to see. So making the rounds this morning.

8 in the shed pen. All good. Not coming out.

16 in the breeding pens. All good. Not coming out.
Petra joined Pen #4 this morning. IMG_3110.JPEG

The rest of Pen #4 - 4 partridges of various colors. The two on the left, I believe, are trying to express their cuckoo gene, so might not be partridge. I haven't decided yet. ☺️

17 in total in here and they're fine, not coming out.

17 ten-week-olds in the large hutch. They have their own, but like this one better. They aren't coming out, even though they're inside of a greenhouse tarped pen, but the wind makes noise, so think they're apprehensive.

A couple older ones with them are partaking in the mash.

15 in the main coop. This is as far as they are coming out.

And the ducks (3 hens) that aren't even bothering lol.
