I know this poost is very old. But I recently recused two severely debeaked chickens. They have like human lips instead of beaks. I make them a very liquid mash of the chicken food.
They also love warm cooked oatmeal. The dish has to be very deep for them to eat or I need to feed them by hand. I am a new small farm youtuber it really upsets me to see so many other farm/homestead you tubers promoting this debeaking practice. If you give your chickens enough room to roam don't over crowd why on earth would you need to cut their beaks off
