i want some eggs to show up soon. i can't wait to put them in the bator. i have about three dozen others to go in. i might have to put these in after.

great to hear they arrived in one piece. can't wait to hear what you get out of the salmon faverolle egg. mine must be with the barred rock. black with the spot on its head, light on is wings and little on belly, feathered feet and only four toes.
you think they are muscovy. how long do they take???? when they are born, how long will it take to tell what breeds i do have? i can't wait to have baby ducks. they are so cute when they are born.

They could be from any of my hen ducks. just not sure which is laying right now. Duck eggs take about 20 to 28 days to hatch. and you should know which breed they are a few months after their hatched. cayagas babys are all black with a light yellow on their chest.(black feet plus black beaks also)

Muscovies take 35 days to incubate, so don't throw them out if they don't hatch on day 28!!
