I have a half dozen little quail babies running around my incubator, with a few more eggs rocking and rolling.

Didn't I send to you? I move my Buckeyes over to lockdown tomorrow. I am hoping the power loss on the bator yesterday did not kill them. It got down to 69 degrees (we were unfortunately not home when it happened). So everyone send luck vibes my way please. Cause all of the Buckeyes were developing wonderfully.

yep, evermore, these are your little quail grandbabies. Maybe the hatch will be ok. I've had some suprising hatches after power outages or broody quitting the nest.

I am keeping my fingers crossed! I just keep repeating "mom might get off the nest for a bit They will be ok" The eggs did not feel room temp. yet so I am hopeful. I have about 80 eggs in there now and I will be heart broken if i lose them.

I got seven quail babies in the end, and the d'uccles are hatching now. What kind of coturnix are these and how big will they get? I've never had quail before, and trying to get it all together.

I have several Jumbo browns and goldens, but there are a few tuxedo and white that are the smaller size. Glad the d'uccle is hatching (i have some of those under my broody hen)

oh and great news! I just checked on the buckeyes and I have 9 pips so far.
