December Hatch-A-Long!

thanks guys I just love the two lavender orps who made it. I plugged in my heat lamp on way home and blew a fuse so they rode in the top of my coat all the way to KY to stay warm. They were screaming and carrying on then instantly asleep when up against my chest for the whole 7 hours almost. I took pics and will share later. As for eggs I am already looking its like I'm a lunatic I can;'t wait to try again and thanks for the nudge its just hard to lose babies.

I'm glad you are feeling more positive! I hatched 4 ducklings out of 7 fertile eggs. 2 of those 7 made it full term but unfortunately passed so I know how you feel. It's so hard to loose babies. The 4 I do have are a week old now and are doing great!

Thanks incubator will be full in a few days got a new better one and ordered a hygrometer too hope to have chickens in 3 weeks. I got two micro and the eggs are so tiny hard to imagine what might come out

I got more blue laced red wyandotes and lavender orps but I also ordered bearded silkies and frizzles and two eggs that came in with frizzles say micro on the tiny eggs from the malaysian seramas. Hope to use for brooding so I can raise some extras for meat. Plus my kids are gonna love them. I am gonna incubate some more lavender/salmon favorelles next because my one pullet I have I just love she is so sweet and funny with big beard and fuzzy feet. How about you are you incubating any now??

Here are the two lavender orps that made it they sure are pretty
