December hatch-along

My worst so far..just last yr. The box was not that dented at all!
I start taking photos when I get a dented box, even if it isn't
that bad. Because, you never know!
It was a box within a box.

These eggs were smashed..but not the box...just small dents on a couple of ends. How could this happen? Thinking that someone shook the heck out of it. How else could almost every single egg be broken this badly? It was marked, no X-rays, fragile, hatching eggs.
I had a few that weren't broken..I washed them, set them, and actually got two to hatch.

Got 78 meat experiment eggs for the 17th and another 39 eggs for the 24th. Crosses of Cornish/White and Barred Rock and Orphington/Madisons.

Seems like that bubble rap would keep them from getting air.?

The one time I got shipped eggs they were marked "live embryos" but not as eggs. hahahahahaha I think that caused the P.O. To be more careful.

I'm a biologist so I get other strange shipments a lot... fetal pigs, insects of all types(even got flesh eating beetles delivered one time), odd chemicals... My P.O. I bet tells stories about me.

That is a large number of eggs! My 12 Cochin / Frizzles are set for a Christmas Eve hatch. Jump on in and join the holiday hatch-a-long! :highfive:
Thank you!!! They are all shipped eggs so we will just be happy with 50%! We're trying to grow our backyard flock. We have the room so the more the merrier!

Last night was day 3, so I shone the torch on the eggs "in situ" before I turned them. I saw some air cells, but no veins. Is that normal?
