December hatch-along

Of the 16 shipped BCM eggs (they sent 4 extras on a dozen order), 2 quit early, and 2 more quit by day 14's candling. My last candle the night before lockdown showed one, possibly 2 more quitters, but they didn't smell, so I left them in. So technically I have 10 with viable embryos, and of those, only 2 with normal looking air sacks. The other eggs in the bator are our home grown BCM/EE crosses (hoping for olive eggers) and 1 RIR/BCM egg thrown in because husband thought it would be fun.

I've got eggs in the incubator to hatch in December. Can I join you guys? I was looking for the NYD hatch-along and did not find it when I stumbled onto this one.

I haven't seen the NYE hatch along yet, so maybe they aren't doing it this year? Either way, I put 9 royal palm turkey eggs and about a dozen of my own duck eggs in the incubator on Sunday. I am excited! The duck eggs are the first of my own eggs I have ever tried. Anyone else set for a December hatch date?

I was just looking too..I need to ask ron if he's doing it again this yr..he's done it a lot. Maybe they are waiting for someone else to volunteer.

My Pekin Duck eggs are due to hatch on the 27th or 28th, I'm SUPER EGGCITED(lol)!! It'll be my first hatch, I'm using my Silkie. Hopefully she stays put on them eggs! What I'm most happy about is they'll hatch a few days after X-Mas and one to two days before my Birthday

! Or heck, even possibly on my B-day!!

Do any of you guys know of a safe marker to mark my eggs with? I would like to know which egg is which, ya know
