Arrived during the night! Officially a December baby! 3 pips! Hopefully more to come! Any idea what to call a Black Copper Marans/RIR cross? I have been researching and have only seen one suggestion, a "copper black" - ideas?

My first December babies! Mixed babies. Any name ideas??

& 21 eggs (plus whatever I get today) going into the Bator today or tomorrow just need to clean my Bator from these two first. a weeks worth of eggs (the most I've got in a week so far!)

My frizzle Cochin eggs are in transit from Virginia. That is a long way to Oregon, and this is not the best time of year. It may have been a mistake buying eggs cross-country in December, but I am hoping for the best.

Has anyone here hatched shipped eggs in colder weather?

Hi all!! I set eggs in November, most hatched yesterday, but one held out to today - 12/1. So, I accidentally ended up with a hatching egg in December!. I'm going to try to hatch for 1/1, but chances are I'll have at least 1 hatch on 12/31. So, I should hit first and last of Dec. Here are some that hatched yesterday.

Yes. If they don't freeze you will be fine. I put a heat pack between the boxes when I ship and it's freezing. (Double boxed)

I've bought them in winter too.
