December hatch along

Pics
Has anyone here hatched out any of those silkies before? I have a local friend who is also a member here that just asked me if I would hatch some for her if she bring's them over here. She said that she will crack one open this weekend to check for fertility. I have never hatched out any Bantam breed's before, just the bigger standard breed's.

I have never hatched silkies but I have a better hatch rate with bantams... except Seramas. Bantams also seem to be ready to leave the incubator sooner and have more energy in the brooder the first 2 days. That has been my experience with hatching bantams. Not everyones is the same.

OK, these will be silkie egg's, and I'm just wondering if the temp and humidity in the incubator will have to be the same as I have to have it at for the standards.

I was just reading the threat I posted, it answers your question and is loaded with all sorts of information and why that information is the way it is. Some lady who hasn't been around much lately seems to be an expert on Humidity and hatching. She explains things so well that I would hope she is a science teacher. I love BYC as a resourced. She said she has never had to make any special adjustments for silkies in that thread. Its a good read and I am going back to reading it.

I've been reading your link also, and have it bookmarked too now. Oh, and thank you for the link!
