December Hatch:Who is going to have Christmas babies?

Five eggs due to hatch Dec 25th. Four Delawares and one Del x blue barred EE cross. Can't believe I'm giving in to that feathered angry gold beach ball, but yup, I am.

I have an incubator full. I set 13 today and hopefully i'll have some christmas chicks or very close to it. Mine usually hatch early because I keep the temps a bit warmer. I would rather have a smaller chick that can get out of the egg than some that are larger that can't get out. I have staggared hatched till then all month but i'm hoping for a christmas chick. Maybe i'll name it Noel, or Jingle or something Christmas'y

Same here. I'm hatching out the silkies eggs and they are all new at this so I get alot of clears also. Just tossed out over a dozen today myself. I added 13 more so I filled almost all the spaces that I emptied. Bater full again. I have white, blue, black on the silkies and white on the frizzle and sizzle and the polish/silkie cross.

I have a new pair of white silkies that are in quarenteen right now but all my whites will be in one pen in a few weeks and I hope the new roo gets right to work. lol My young roo seems to be overwelmed with having 8 girls to tend to. He wants to stand around and be pretty more than he wants to breed.

These are the first to hatch from my silkies. There are 2 that I know are partrige and the other I don't know which hen laid it. The roo is a black lavender split. The very first one that was fertile didn't hatch and that was just a few days ago. It pipped internally but died. I got it out but it died nearly as soon as I got it out. Maybe I waited too long and maybe it was just meant to be.
