December Hatch:Who is going to have Christmas babies?

My silkies are due this Sunday...but temps were a little low today when I came home, so they may be late

Hopefully, this hatch goes better than the last one....only one chick from five eggs. But it was my fault, humidity was low, and THIS time, I've been very careful about it. I figure I wasted at least a hundred bucks on serama and silkie eggs before I figured it out, so I may as well make sure I have it right before next year. xD

Started some today. They are a mixed lot, mixes from some neighbors, a couple of buff orps of my own that I have no idea if they are fertile, a couple my neighbor thinks are duck! I am also expecting a shipment of eggs Friday and I will sneak them in too. They are mostly marans. If it all works out, I will have Christmas babies!

Now I have 3. Not looking too great on the rest. I set some older eggs just to see what they'd do though, so was not expecting a terrific hatch anyway. The 3 look healthy though, and a couple pips. will post pics tomorrow or friday

We set our bator up today and hopefully goint to put a setting in the Bator on the 4th . We hope to have some Christmas Day Bantam Dom's.

Day three and unable to resist I candled the white eggs ( the Silver spangles and the 1 Leghorn ) and all of these 6 have little beating hearts so far.

Hi all
I have 12 going into lockdown today. They are my own eggs, not really sure who the daddy is, maybe Phoenix or Polish. 10 standard and 2 bantam's. Need to make sure everything is working right in my home made incubator and home made hatcher before the new years hatch with shipped eggs. The next 3 days I will be on pins and needles.

whoot whoot... I started mine yesterday... So thats December 1st at 8:00 last night.. lets see... how this all goes.. of course its a 7 egg turner.. and I snuck in 3 more.. have no idea how that will work.. I just couldnt possibly waste the extra eggs I was sent... I figure I put those extras on the very end.. and will rotate them myself.. heck I will rotate all of them myself twice a day... just to make double sure.. wink wink

CANT WAIT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS.. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NAME IT CLAIM IT!! I AM GOING TO HAVE HEALTHY CHICS!!!
