\\Yes. Go ahead and lock down. Then, head on over to the Quail board. Lots of good button quail raising info there. Look at the top of the board for the stickied thread (says something like notable threads) click that & find the button quail threads there.

Oh, I already have

Thats where I've gotten all of my info! I just lost track of which day was which, what with putting them in the bator so late to begin with and all. So, here's hoping this works!

I put a little sticky note, the little tab sized ones on the windows with which row and the lock down date. I also keep a log of the chickens that I do. I don't of the quail. The sticky notes work very well. If I have different lock down dates on the same row I will mark them with an X and put an X on the tab they belong to.

I see the dates several times a day, everytime I check on the temps and humidity. I always keep in mind the next lock down date. (thats about all my memory bank can hold at a time)

I had 4 hatches in when the power went out T'Giving morning my eggs were cold and the bators were 78-79 degrees. The one's in lockdown were shipped eggs 7 out of 10 hatched 5 black split lav Orps and 2 Blue Orps

The next bunch a few days later all 6 of 6 Bantam Ameraucana's hatched now I'm finishing a hatch of Olive Eggers and Bantam Cochin's with nearly all hatched now.The last bunch had just been set hours before the power failure so it didn't really effect them all started. I figured we would have a few real bad hatches
One more hatch next week then a Christmas Hatch of MF Cochins

They will be the last of the Year New Years eggs are going in next

Today is day 22 and still nothing... I'm starting to get worried now. My hubby says to give it another day or two but I don't want them to die in the shell because the thermometer was off or the humidity meter or something crazy like that... How long would you wait until you candled to check if they are alive still? I know that they were all alive on day 18 when they went into lockdown. Help

Keep the humidity high I've had them go until 24 days and hatch out fine and I've had them not hatch too..they didn't absorb the yolk or didn't turn right and then had eggs from the same person almost all hatch. If your eggs were shipped it can just be from the shipping and nothing that you did wrong...I've had eggs hatch when I unplugged the incubator by mistake for 9 hrs and they were not even delayed....if the egg is "right" it will hatch

Well its day 15, candled last night and one egg is dead and a few others look bad (all the eggs that have died late have had skewed air sacs, is that the cause?) But we have 20 for sure alive ones. Lockdown is friday night.

I am so excited. I have a pip! I set 10 green eggs on Nov. 18. The eggs I used were from a pair of EE's that I hatched last year in my first attempt. This is so much fun!

Didn't have any in the incubator, but did come home today to find my silkie had hatched out 5 or the cutest chicks, so spent the last couple of hours making sure they are safe and warm. Hope everyone has great luck with your hatches.
