December Hatch:Who is going to have Christmas babies?

Well as an update out of 5 eggs, 3 have piped. One other is chirping at me. They are due tomorrow. Hopefully when I got out to the coop in the morning I will have some new fluffy butts!

I'm probably closer to a new years hatch. I got 12 delaware eggs from Bargain that are due on Dec 30.

FINALLY......Lockdown!

This is the first hatch in my new incubator. ( Brinsea octagon 20 ECO)
15 out of 18 eggs made it to lockdown. Now the looooong wait.

I have a Buff Orphington broody sitting on 12 eggs that should hatch Dec 25th. Set them under her on the 4th. This is my first go round at any type of hatching so I hope all goes well!!

Eggs went into lockdown last night around 10:00. Temp is good right now (about 99.8*) and humidity is doing well (a little bit high, 70%) and i am so excited!!!!!! I candled all the eggs before putting them in, movement in all 19. Now i just have to wait...

In other news...
MY SISTER COMES HOME FROM COLLEGE THIS AFTERNOON!!!! I HAVENT SEEN HER SINCE AUGUST AND I MISSED HER SOOOO MUCH!!!!!!

Our bator blew it's thermostat(hovabator genisis 1588). We were able to keep the temps mostly stable with a little heater thingy, and they are still moving. We have a still air LG now for back up till we can get a new thermostat, hope we will still have a good hatch. :\\

That's awesome. I'm really hoping for a good roo out of this batch. I've got 3 beautiful del hens but my current roo is nice, but not a big as I'd hoped.
