December Hatch:Who is going to have Christmas babies?

I may... I am participating in the NYDay hatch thread, but my temps are steady, steady, steady at 100 - no matter what I do. My last hatch came a day early.

Today is the scheduled hatch day, but no pips yet. Maybe they know I just set another incubator full for the NY Hatch, and are miffed about it.

I set 18 eggs 11/20. I had 3 hatch Friday, 3 hatch Saturday, today I have 2 more pips so far. I originally started the bator for my daughter to hatch some of her polish eggs. I set 6 polish, 8 olive eggs, and 4 brown.

So far 1 brown hatched, 1 is pipped. 5 olive have hatched.

I had a temp spike of 108 Friday night. I thought the rest were goners, but then had 3 hatch yesterday.

My daughter was so bummed, no polish had hatched or pipped, but then I just saw a polish pip and it is chirping. Yeah!

I also have a silkie on 3 eggs due now too. 2 Polish and 1 olive. No pips from those yet.

These are mixed eggs, except the polish, they are pure.

The olive egss are Blue EE hen/Frakenchicken roo.
The brown are BR hen/Frakenchicken roo. The other brown eggs are from the BO hen and possible the JGmix hen. I'm not real sure.

So far 4 chicks are 5 toed, 3 with feather feet. 2 chicks have reg toes, 1 with feather feet.

The roo has 5 toes, feather feet, single and V comb, but not a silkie cross.

At the last candle all eggs were on track except 2 brown, so I hope the temp spike didn't do too much damage. Fingers crossed for more babies!

Still just the one pip. At least I think. I have the Brinsea Octagon and it is alittle hard to see in there. I am resisting turning the unit around to look through the back. *sigh*.....

my broody eggs are over due. It's been 22 1/2 days now and nothing ! Hope they hatch soon

Got an Ee that went broody. Lord I have no idea why , she just would not listen to reason, so I stuck some eggs under her, but Now I thought I could have moved her to the other coop with the other girls and that would have broke her though I don't like to do that.
Her side of the coop isn't laying well at all.

Why is it the older girls don't go broody? For me it's always the newbies that have only been laying a short time.

Oh well, gotta mark the calender.
