Decided to stop just reading and start sharing.

Hi,
If your son is interested in Blacksmithing I suggest the John C. Campbell folk art school. They give many levels of classes and it's a good start. Also search the ABANA (Artist Blacksmith Association of North America) web site.
I'll be posting several pictures soon.
Thanks
Keith

Thanks for the tips. We actually recently found a local club through the ABANA website. That's where he's hoping to take classes. I will have him check out the folk art school as well.

Welcome, and glad to have you. I pick a little guitar, mandolin and 5 string banjo, and am also a quilter. We retired after 26 years in the Navy way back in 1990 and live in the mountains of Wyoming.

Thank you for your years of service to our country, and please extend my gratitude to your family as well. I know all too well the sacrifices made by them. My grandson (who we raised) just returned today from a 7 month deployment on board the USS San Juan, where he is a nuclear reactor operator, to the arms of his wife and son. When Jamie left his son hadn't started crawling yet....today he walked to his daddy.
