I'm thinking the buff is a Rooster. but the black looks girly to me from that picture. The buff stands a little tall for a girl and has a Roosterish look to the face (weird I know) . But anything can happen so I hope they are both girls for ya.

I'm feeling less confident now.

I know they're slow growers... but even 2 weeks ago it looked very hen-ish. Last week... I chalked up changes to the weather getting so cold and "feathering up" to meet that cold (Eastern Ontario here, -22 C the other night)

Well, since a hermaphrodite has sex organs of both sexes, it is not one of those. It's male or female. IMO, it's a cockerel (the buff, that is).
