Deciding on breeds...opinions??

I am going to a farm and picking some more chicks out today. I want frizzles and houdans for sure. She also has silkies, crested crosses, cochins, and old english bantams (which I would like for broodiness). I cant pick them all, since I dont think I could keep up with so many, but I want a variety.....What would you get?

Thanks! I wasnt sure what breeds out of those would make good broody girls. I think I will forego the old english bantams then....

Go for Old English and the Cochins!!

I raise the Old english, Cochins and just got silkies. Ive had all kinds of my cochin hens to go broody but, so far none of my OEGB hens have.

I had cochins once, loved those beautiful birds. Unfortunately we had a raccoon break in and they didnt make it, but I think Im going to get some of those for sure. I think they are the coolest!!

Don't take your kids! They'll pick them all for you & about 5 more that you did'nt even want! I took 4 kids... wrong thing to do!
