Ok I think I have decided I am going to go with the Silver appleyard. They seem to be a good dual purpose bird.

Now the question is .... DO they come as crested ducks? OMG I have fallen in love with the cresteds :)

I would have thought the majority of breeds have the crested in them somewhere in the world! I've not personally seen a crested Silver Appleyard, but I'm sure they exist! [IMG]

Silver appleyards are so uncommon I'd think it would be a real challenge to find cresteds. But you never know! Check with Holderread Waterfowl (holderreadfarm.com). He knows everything there is to know about ducks, and raises appleyards, so he would know. And if he has any, you might even be able to get them there.

Good luck! I've heard they're great birds.
