So I am selling my crossbred pigeons this weekend or next weekend, they are all healthy and have finished treatment. I am thinking once I get the loft fixed up, on getting some more purebred pigeons. I’m thinking about getting some more Fantails and Serbian highflyers, but have been also thinking about getting some Magpies. It just depends on what happens.

What do you guys think?

It's up to you! I think it's a good idea to sell your crossbreeds, and get pure breeds. How many lofts do you have? The more types you get, the more crosses you will get again. So if you get magpies, you may want to give them their own loft.

Personally, I would keep only one type (breed)of pigeons. I am pretty set on homers myself. I kept only white ones. Hoping to restart my pigeon adventures when I get all things straightened out in my current situation.
If you decide to get multiple breeds, then you will end up again with what you have currently.
If your desires insist you have to have multiple breeds, then you do need to keep the lofts separated. That also means to keep multiple aviaries, and not loft fly the groups together.
AS ALWAYS WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :highfive:

I was thinking about having a breeding section for pairs, and then male and female sections. Cause otherwise the young may try to breed together once mature.

Also, my first pigeons were crossbreds, so that’s why I ended up with so many.

Update 7/4/19:
So today I may be selling my most of my crossbred pigeons. I would have rather got rid of them all but I have to keep a few birds as they have issues physically due to the overcrowded conditions they were in. One bird I need to keep has a wonky tail, when it was younger it never used to have it but it just developed it later. The other bird has wonky feet from being on the ground too long (something which one of my young Birmingham rollers is developing). I just need to treat the birds for lice and they should be ok.

After I sell most of them, I’ll add more ventilation to the loft. Also, more perches and best boxes will be added. And the Serbian highflyers will be moved to one section, the Birmingham rollers will stay where they are now, the Fantails can stay in the aviary for a while then get moved out in the old hen section, and the Magpies if I do end up getting any can live in the aviary or with the Birmingham rollers. I would prefer to separate the birds by gender, but if the nest boxes are made to be closed and opened it should be fine.

That’s my plan so far.
