We like to use a juniper tree, (eastern red cedar) which is regarded as a weed here. So there’s every size available and free for the cutting. We walked up the road today cut one, and carried it home.

All right, this is my family‘s tree this year, a fresh cut 13 footer! 😁

While decorating our tree, we realized this old ornament, which we always called ‘the dog,’ looks like a Maltese. The coincidence is that we just recently got a DNA test for our little scruffy dark colored ‘terrier’ and he has a great grandparent that’s a Maltese. 🙃

My dog, Duke, loves Christmas, we already combined Christmas at Thanksgiving, with our family. But Duke is 10 years old and doesn't have many Christmas' left. I put up a tree for him. (Look for his painting on the wall. a lady who saw his pic on line painted him and sent it to me.)

Just for fun: I put my boys' fun Christmas glasses on my lens to take this of our tree.

I have no idea what we were watching on tv. And ignore the cardboard. Fire starter for the wood burner😊

This is Splendor. She was sent to me in Oct. from Meyer. They did not put in a heat pack in the shipped box, and I actually brought her back from the dead. If you have birds sent in Oct. ask for a heat pack, or pay for one if they won't give you a free one.

Okay got the lights on so here Ya go .. Better half does the village we just set her down add the lighting around the bottom

Started a tradition after my daughter was born where we cut down our own tree from a tree farm. We always went to the same tree farm until this year when we moved. When we went to get a tree this year, we were told that with the shortage on trees, there were very few left, which was an accurate statement. The trees were either super small (less than 3 feet) or very large like this one, and there were very few. We had to do a lot of trimming to make this one fit, but we think this is the best live tree we have had yet.

We got a small one this year, for a change.

I got this ornament in Hong Kong, the only Christmas I didn't spend at home.

Just a little table top tree this year, even smaller than last year's. We have 12 foot ceilings and have had monster trees in the past, but we've been going to my brother's for Christmas and having parties elsewhere, so I almost didn't get one this year.

But I was grocery shopping at Ralph's and they had all these little trees out front marked 50% off. They were all so scraggly and sad, except I found this one tucked WAY in the back! First time I've got a tree at a grocery store and my first time with a spruce instead of a fir.

The topping star belonged to my grandparents and looks a little big for this tiny tree. :D
