Decorative grass (Carl Forester, I think the name is) safe to go in pheasant and coturnix coop?

I assume that if the turkeys eat the berries of kinnikinnick and survive...it won't hurt quail or pheasants, either.

Lantana is also suppose to be toxic to birds but it grows wild in my pens and my birds eat the leaves and berries and haven't 'killed over'!

Almost all my pens have native grasses, weeds, shrubs. They either nibble on them or leave them alone...I assume the ones they leave alone are toxic? or don't like the taste!

Haven't I heard you talk about some type of Myrtle?

Crepe Myrtle, they are a tree, I don't have any in my pens because they grow big fast.
Lantana grows wild down here. Nurserys usually have them, Lowe's, Home Depot, etc ...it's a flowering shrub. Many different color varieties available.

The Crepe Myrtle is gorgeous as well! It does look big though, much too large for my little pen. If only I had one of the giant glass aviaries with the raised walkway, and trees, and a stream and...

Is any kind of decorative grass safe? Or does it need to be a specific variety?

Other than the native grasses, I have Purple fountain grass and Pamapas grass in some of my pens...they tend to get eaten down pretty good though.
