Yes, there are around 32 species and subspecies of True pheasants, Phasianus colchicus.
They will get on perches but for the most part they are ground dwellers. They 'roost' on the ground.

Yes…..the question mark is because I think there’s another type of red quail and it’s on the tip of my tongue but that’s as far as it’s gotten
