A couple of the hens has started laying since the first of the year. Two eggs so far for a few days then none and one and repeat the last part. It looks like the hen took a month off. November 30 was the last egg and now they started laying on the first of January. They are still molting yet. What I've noticed is they don't lay when it's cold, windy and raining here compared when the sun is out. We did have strong winds and rain about the time they quit laying. Also, I've noticed that their shells are stronger than before.
