I'm trying to get feed back for a friend who has a rooster.. Had anyone ever heard of decrowning a rooster.. This was found on line and wanted to know if anyone has ever done it.

I’ve never heard of that but it sounds expensive. Do they want a rooster to protect the flock (if so then decrowing would defeat the purpose of having a rooster).

But if the reason behind a rooster is for fertile eggs then that’s another story.

I have heard of a rooster shock collar. I’ve never seen or used one, but people here have

they could get a no crow collar you put it on the lower part of the neck but not too tight(or else it will choke) it just makes crows alot quieter Ive never owned or seen one Ive just heard
(after awhile anyway they will get used to rooster crowing)

A collar had been applied, but he's still pretty loud.. Can't make it any more snug or it'll choke him
