Deep Cleaning Incubator

It’s that time of the year again! I started a small hatchery and have had many inquiry’s about my easter hatch. (Ducks) I decided it’s time to start planning for it and get my incubators clean and do some maintenance on them after I had a disastrous last hatch. How do you guys clean, sanitize, and sterilize your incubators? I have NR360’s, so plastic. I want to get every last germ out of there!

My plastic gets a bleach mixture and the electronic parts get either alcohol or ADBAC mixture.

Lysol basically. I usually buy of pool algaecide and mix it for germ control.

How do you get alcohol to the electronics? Do you just spray it up there?

Yep. Spray and pray. Let it evaporate before turning anything on. Works better than using brake cleaner!

I don't use chemicals. I just wipe mine down with a little soap and water.

Oh I forgot to mention that I use a chemical soap with the bleach also.

I usually use dish soap and a little bit of bleach in a bucket. I use that solution to wash the incubator then rinse it with warm water and air dry.

So spray, wait a few days, then turn the incubator on?
