Deep Litter Method Question

Good question but I can’t answer this.
I do the deep litter method but I don’t have an issue with smell. I add pine shavings to the litter, this seems to help with any smell that may occur.

I don't want my coop to smell bad. Can I use, "Sweet PDZ Coop Refresher (10 lbs.)" coop deodorizer with the deep litter method? You can look at the details on amazon's website. https://www.amazon.com/Sweet-PDZ-Co...chicken+coop+deodorizer&qid=1616350977&sr=8-5
It wont fix the problem.
....and don't waste your money on that small package of zeolite.
Go to the horse aisle and buy Sweet PDZ, 2.5 times the size for almost half the price.

If you are having trouble with your bedding stinking, you might want to show some pics and tell us the bedding ingredients, size of coop, and number of birds, so we can help solve your issue.

Oh, and... tell us....
Where in this world are you located?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!

TSC has 25# bags of pdz for $10.
I bought a bag few yrs ago hoping it would help keep chick brooder less stinky. I don't think it helped.
Deep litter shouldn't smell. I use tons of tree leaves in the fall and sawdust from cutting firewood. Even when it's all broke down to dirt for awhile coop still just smells like dry dirt.
