Also, one my girls is only drinking and she is trying to hide. She also hasn’t layed in a while and is throwing up, or something? I’m new so I’m really worried for her health because she is my favorite.

It’s just that they put dot dot dot in am desperate for help cause one of my girls is now lethargic and she isn’t laying and doesn’t poop and is only slightly drinking water. I’m just scared. You think @aart sounds sketchy? If so, why? Seriously and honestly curious. Maybe it is because I have been around here for a few years and interact with her often, but I am at a loss when it comes to understanding your comment or why her suggestion would even remotely be seen as sketchy. She is directing you to create your own post/thread instead of hijacking this one....
You are asking people for help with a sick bird in a post and thread that is 245 pages about the deep litter method. Not about sick birds......so......yeah. Once again....![]()

It could work for one of the ingredients. We have pine straw here for landscaping. Would that work for DLM?

POULTRY LITTER AMENDMENTS
Ammonia produced in poultry houses can degrade bird health and performance. When broilers and turkeys are raised on litter, amendments can be used to reduce ammonia levels in the house which could improve bird health and performance. (article continues and examines the different amendments)
