Deer fawns for sale?

Why must people have a problem with an innocent post? Educate yourself, so what It MAY be bred for meat. Atleast there is a purpose. Why must there ALWAYS be a problem?
Good grief man.

Folks, this is not a thread about hunting. The question was about selling a deer fawn. Please stay on topic.

It is perfectly legal in many locations to raise and sell deer, including their fawn. They may or may not be "wild". I have been to a deer farm and hand fed their does. I considered purchasing a fawn..you have to get them bottle fed for them to be tamer. Although bucks in rut are still bucks in rut and a risk to people. You have to know what you are doing to raise any animal. Education and research is the key to success.

All animals were meant to be wild and free until man domesticated them.

Bambi! Everyone loves Bambi. So pretty, so sweet when they are little, and they lick everything. It's sweet and adorable.

Then they grow up. They get bored and lonely and destructive. Bucks are mean.

Goats are better, and just as cute.

Then they grow up.

Most babies do!

They get bored and lonely and destructive.

Depends on the pen you have for them- there are LOTS of "bored" chickens locked in 10 x 10 or smaller backyard pens!!!!!!!

Most animals should have others to interact with.

OUR deer are NOT nearly destructive as our horses, rams, camels, cattle. Everything can be destructive at some point, ever tried to put up syrofoam insultation with chcikens and ducks present?

Bucks are mean.

I have a turkey you should meet!

Goats are better, and just as cute.

Our goats are great---- SO are our deer! I never understand why one has to be better than the other. THey both have their own different qualities.

Now those are some interesting looking deer.

piebalds are so cute!! The one on the left looks just like a little buck fawn someone was selling on craigslist near us! There's actually a wild (supposedly) piebald roaming around near a couple of my coworkers homes. I think I recall having seen a wild piebald once before as well.

I agree that ANY animal can be destructive.......ever had a high energy, high drive dog with nothing to do???....some of the most "destructive" animals around!

As far as goats being the "same thing" or "as cute" as deer...I disagree....I think deer are much cuter/prettier...but I don't know that i'll ever have any. If I ever had deer I would want a huge pen and several does....I don't know that I'll ever be able to provide that, so I probably won't ever have them. I don't think that means no one should have them though.

I DO think bucks are not an animal most people should try to have......bucks are extremely dangerous (mainly during the rut)....more people are killed/injured by domestic or captive bucks than pretty much any other captive animal per year.

No animal is for everyone...not everyone should have animals...and there is no animal that no one should have. That's how I feel anyway.

I don't know how 'domesticated' white tail can be. We have a friend who raises them, usually keeps a buck or two and a couple does, and they are very skittish, still very much wild even though he has the human-raised or "domesticated" strain.

Skittishness doesn't negate domestication..........haven't you ever seen a skittish dog, horse, chicken, cow, etc??... I've known some VERY "wild" dogs that would never be able to make a friendly, loving pet.....that doesn't change that they are domesticated...it just means they weren't lovingly cared for and handled frequently.
