Thats great!! I loved having Doves....

I'm hand feeding morning doves right now. Their about a week old now and triple in size

I have a few "wild type" ringnecks i swear have some "wild blood in them." They do now make the same calls as my other females, and do a morning dove/ringneck coo. it's weird but cute.

what kind??

I know the Rooster is a White Japanese black tail and One of the hens is a Mill Fluer and someone else just started laying brown eggs I'm not sure who. It could be a Cochin Bantam, Silkie or Porcelain D'Uccle. Which of those breeds would lay brown eggs? I'm guessing not the Porcelain D'Uccle because the Mille Fluer D'Uccle lays white eggs

thanks...how much for the duck eggs?

I HAVE A BABY and a half!!!! One of my serama eggs is all hatched. He did need some help, but the one I am really worried about is still in in despair. i dont know what to do to help him. Humidity is at 60 and temp is 100-100.5

He just seems so pitiful and is tiring himself with all the struggling. he is 1/3 of the way out, but there seems to be a lot (?) of blood in the membrane. Simce this is my first hatch, I am not sure...is it normal for there to be blood. i just assumed that the chick absorbed all fluids inside the egg and when it came out of the shell, the inside of the shell would be clean! Or did I put on my dumb face today????

no, thats about right.
serama eggs hatch at what, day 17 or something, and the temp is fine, i dont deal with humidity, i dont measure it, i do keep water in the incubator.
i would sit on my hands it it was me. let that blood you see dry, but dont let the egg dry around the chick like a tomb.

I dont watch my humidity either, same here i just keep water in the bottom.

Yea if th eeggs dries on it, you will have to wrap a warm cloth around it and leave it in the bator so it softens the egg. but leave a space where it can breath.

well this morning that same chick was on his belly with the egg stuck dry as a bone on his back. the whole half of the shell. his eye was glued shut too. so i took him to the kitchen sink and got warm water and dribbled it into the shell like he was taking a bath in his egg tub! After a few minutes the shell slid off. then i moistened his eye and it opened. he seems to be doing fine. i had to wipe him down with a wet cotton ball to get the rest of the dried up goop off him, hopefully he will make it. I will keep ya all posted.

He should come along....now stop opening the bator LOL....I have another Duck pipped and I want to peel it out

I will be moving the ducks to another home for a few months. I'm using them to train another Boarder Collie to herd ducks. So I won't be able to collect eggs. The few that I will get before they leave are already promised to Shay. Sorry
