I have a right mix of a flock, so trying to figure out breeds is a challenge, especially as most of them are probably crosses.

If I can't do breeds then what I wouldn't mind is learning the technical descriptions of any chicken whether pure bred or not; size and shape of wattles and combs, colour of plumage and eyes etc.

So, my question is is there any good resource to learn these qualities, book, online or otherwise?

You need a APA standard of perfection. It has a definition for all the reconized breeds.

Thank you very much. Just saw the website. Not being in America maybe I can find a Spanish version. But APA gives me a good place to start.

Not sure about "perfection" though, the standard is, hmmm variety! As the saying goes, variety is the spice of life lol

The ALBC has some nice articles on selecting poutry for meat or eggs. Should be good for any breeds or mixes selected for production. You can search for their website.
