So my family recently bought 12 chicks. At first we just had 6 but a few days later bought 6 more. Anyhooo....in the first batch we got 2 barred rocks and 4 of what we were told were RIRs when we got home from with the chicks we started looking for info on those two specific breeds of chicken and quickly realized that our adorable yellowy white chicks were definitely not RIRs! And Now we have no idea what breed they are!

This is one of our mystery chicks named Shelly. We're thinking they're probably either Cornish or white Orpingtons but we've never had chickens before and really have no clue...?
Any ideas??

I would say Leghorns, and that chick in the picture is a rooster! But definantely Leghorns as the comb is already so big for the age. Look them uo they are a great bird, I think they are better that RIR's personally.

We bought them at a feed store. We bought 6 more chicks and 2 ducklings since then and 2 of the younger chicks are actually RIRs and I can definitely see the difference!
