Yea I cant wait until Im comfortable with this stuff. Thanks for all the info guys.

I was where you are a couple of weeks ago. It's thrilling and nerve wracking all at the same time. The worst part for me was when they first "fell" out of their shells, soaking wet, and flopped around on the floor of the incubator. I truly couldn't watch that part. I wanted to get them out in the WORST way! And now, 3 brooders full of 2 weeks old chicks and I'm still worrying like mad. Truth is, I worry the same way about my hens.

Good luck with your hatch! Feel free to share pictures!! We LOVE pictures here!

I know that you've all probably heard that sitting on your hands is the best thing you can do when chicks are hatching. Opening the incubator to take some out is the worst thing you can do. Often it will cause the unhatched chicks to die. Wait until they have all hatched. They can easily survive 48 hours without food or water. So just wait. I think that the sound of the hatched chicks often encourages the others to get busy.

so we should make a cd with 12 tracks of birds hatching. Then put a cd player next to the hatcher, Ill split the profits with you 50/50 since it was your idea.

You guys want pics after they hatch not before right?

If there aren't pics, we assume your hatch was an utter failure, so yes pics would be lovely... LOL. Jk.

Anyway, I went on YouTube and created a playlist of chicks chirping. lol. I am a loser.
