Deformed baby chick?

Did it have a time getting out of the egg? One of ours did and we just did some gentle physical therapy on him. He couldn't walk or hold his head up. The other babies let him eat food off of them and actually helped in the beginning. It was pretty neat to watch. He was a silver sebright.

is it normal for newly hatched baby chicks to not be able to use their feet properly ? He can’t get them flat to stand on them properly

Giving poultry vitamins such as Poultry Cell or NutriDrench orally a drop or two can sometimes help. If you have a coffee cup that you can pad, and place him into to learn how to stand, that can help as well. Can you see any evidence of splayed legs?
