Well, I had a suprise this morning. I have a little game hen, who started laying a

couple months ago ~Can't remember exactly when~ She's been laying tiny eggs,

which I know is normal for the first few eggs.. Well then she starts laying eggs with

weird bumps and knots in them. Not little specks, but curves and bumps in the egg

shell. Well, this morning she lays a HUGE egg, (Please remember she's only 10 months

old) we're thinking it's a double yolker, but again it has a little curve in the eggshell.

She's been laying these weird eggs for about 2-3 months now. I will get pictures in a

second, sorry I don't already have them.

A little info on Lucky -the hen-

Age: 10 months old
Breed: Game hen
Cage/living space:
She's been in a very well built coop with a wooden 'run'. We JUST moved her to a
kennel, it has protection from predators/rain/etc.
Bedding:Straw
What she is eating: Laying pellets, a handfull of scratch, oyster shell and grit.
then whenever we have safe leftovers - she gets them.

We just got her oyster shell a few days ago (I know, I should have already had it)
Could that be the issue?

At 10 months she's probably still getting everything into working order--the double-yoker is a good example. Give her time and things should work out. On the other hand, she just may go through life laying weird-shaped eggs.
