Deformity? Quitter about day 12

This is our first attempt at incubation. This egg was alive but looked bloody at day 11 candling. Now was dead at day 15 candling. We opened the egg to examine it. Are these abdominal lumps normal?

If not, any idea of the cause?

Any thoughts on the lumps on this chick would be appreciated. This is for a girl scout project and we would like information to put in the presentation. Normal or cause?
