Delaware x Barred Rock Chicks--Indy, Rex and Ira's Progress Thread

My DH has dubbed the subject of this thread "Indy", as in Indiana Jones, since his parents both have "I" names as well.

I have another chick that I thought was a pure Delaware when I put the egg under my broody, but it turned out to be a completely coal black chick, not a head spot whatsoever, not even a hint of one. Even the leg fronts are very dark. So, though I know it's half Delaware through Isaac, who is his mother? The only real choices are the Barred Rock hens or the blue, black or splash Rock hens and that's it. Any ideas? I guess it may be just a waiting game to see if the wings are barred, but with no head spot and considering the egg did not appear to belong to any of my BR hens, has to be one of the BBS Rocks. The egg looked most like my splash Rock hen's, if it wasn't Georgie, the Del hen I mistakenly believed to be the one who laid it.
