I have a Delaware rooster and and RIR hen . Ive heard the offspring will look delaware. Is that true no matter the sex of the chicks?

Also i have chicks using same rooster with a buff orphington, a production blue( blue australorp/RIR) a sexlink maron, and a ameraucana. Will any of those crosses result in sex link chicks?

Since your rooster is sex linked silver it will not produce silver/gold sex links over your gold base hens

Somewhat, but with some leakage, especially on the cockerels (only visible on adults.)

The rooster is not but he expresses the gene silver which is a sex linked gene.

Did you ever do your cross? Just curious. I have done this cross in the past and the RIR male with a Del female where the female chicks look like the RIR dad. Somewhere there is a chart on BYC that shows many different crosses. It eludes me at the moment. Good luck...
