Delawares @ 21 Weeks Old...Jake, Kira and Cassidy(UPDATE)

I have 16 eggs incubating in this breed and tomorrow is Day 18. Started with 20 shipped, so not doing bad at all. One of the eggs is a pairing of a one of the roosters with a specific hen the breeder has and I'm hoping that one is my rooster. Should be a big, gorgeous bird from those two.

how much are the deleware eggs.by the dozen or each. and who,s a good breeder to get them from.

I have no idea what they cost. Shortcake1806 and seriousbill raise them.

Kira is just beautiful Cyn. I totally know what you mean about being a camera hog. I can't even take pics of my son when mine are out. They have to be in the picture. lol

Hopefully she'll have lot's of company soon.

Thanks! We love Kira. She's a big bodied girl, so paired with a great rooster, should produce some great chicks. She's a fabulous layer.

You're right she should throw some nice babies. Delawares are generally great layers. Mine lay almost every day. Some days every hen lays. I'd say that's about as good as any production birds out there and they're alot prettier imo.

Can't do better than one a day, can you? Kira also is unusual in that she lays every morning, not later and later as the days go by. I think she's the only girl I've had that does this.
